Troops of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army involved in anti-cattle rustling and anti-banditry operations in Zamfara State on Monday defied downpour and rugged terrain to carry out clearance operations on hideouts of suspected armed bandits in some forests within Zamfara State.
Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman, in a statement, said troops carried out raids at Batara and Ajah forests in Birnin Magaji and Gusau Local Government Areas, Zamfara State.
