Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly stormed Babbangida, the headquarters of Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
It was gathered that the suspected terrorists stormed the town in the afternoon and started shooting sporadically, throwing residents into state of confusion as they scampered for safety in the nearby bushes.
A reliable source who wished not to be named told DAILY POST that, troops stationed in the town engaged the attackers in a gun duel, though he could not ascertain the level of destruction or loss of lives.
The attack came when activities at Babbangida weekly market were at their peak, hence forcing business operators to desert the market.
