Following information received from residents, troops of 33 Brigade Forward Operations Base Burra, Bauchi State, Tuesday, laid an ambush for suspected kidnappers from Sabon Kura village, in Ningi Local Government Area.
A statement from acting director Army public relations officer, Col Sani Usman Kukasheka said that the kidnappers were on their way to Diwwa village for kidnapping activities.
“The troops engaged the kidnappers and after exchange of gunfire, 4 kidnappers were confirmed dead.
“The team recovered 3 dane guns, 1 cutlass, 3 mobile telephones, some quantity of hard drugs and local charms from the kidnappers”, the statement said.
