The Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun state on Friday upheld the election of the state governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun.
The three man panel, presided over by Justice Henry Olusuyi dismissed the petition filed by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka contesting the election of Amosun on the ground that it lacked merit.
Delivering the verdict, Justice Olusuyi said that, ”all issues formulated for determination are resolved in the negative against the Petitioners for lack of merit …”
Following the verdict by Justice Olusuyi, APC supporters were seen out the court singing victory songs.
