The National & State Assembly Tribunal sitting in Owerri has issued a Subpoena on the Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Ministry of Education over the Primary School First Leaving School Certificate belonging to Hon. Emeka Chinedu.
The member who was elected to represent Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency of Imo State allegedly forged his primary school certificate which has become a contentious issue at the election Tribunal.
Hon. Chinedu had presented a Primary School Certificate showing he completed his primary education in 1984 while his Affidavit of Age shows he was “born in February 1965 indicating he finished his primary education at the age of 20years.”
Hon. Raphael Igbokwe had approached the Tribunal that the Primary School Certificate was fake as under the Lagos Educational Policy, within the period he claimed he attended school at 5th Avenue Primary School in Lagos, there was no way one could be admitted into Primary 1 (One) at the age of 14 or finish at the age of almost 20years.
In the documents made available to DAILY POST in Abuja on Thursday, Hon. Igbokwe averred that the Police Statement where Hon. Chinedu claimed he started his Primary education in 1974 at Community School Obama, but dropped in Primary 3 in 1977 and proceeded in 1981 to Lagos to start Primary was untrue.
Hon Igbokwe posited from the above, “that Mr Chinedu has contradicted himself and put to question the genuineness of the Pry School Certificate”, adding that there is no way he could be dropping out in primary 3 at the age of 12 years and also completing Primary 6 in Lagos at the age of 12 years.
