Contrary to media reports that the trail on the Senate President, Bukola Saraki over alleged false declaration of his assets by the Code of Conduct Tribunal has been suspended by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, report available to DAILY POST has it that the said trail has already commenced at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
It would be recalled that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had said that the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) cannot dock Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki today. The court had reportedly ordered the CCB to appear before it on September 21, 2015 to state why it should not be stopped from arraigning Saraki over allegations bordering on false and improper declaration of assets.
The Deputy Director in the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, M.S.Hassan, filed the charges against Saraki on September 11.
Saraki is facing a 13 count charge at the CCT.
