The Oyo State High Court has scheduled November 9, for the murder trial of the Ibadan-based female lawyer, Yewande Oyediran who allegedly killed her husband in Ibadan.
The accused, who is a member of staff of the Ministry of Justice in the state, was alleged to have stabbed her 38-year-old husband, Oyelowo Oyediran, to death on February 2 over claims he fathered a child out of wedlock.
Yewande has since been remanded at the Agodi, Prison in Oyo pending the advice of the Director of Public Prosecution in the state, although, she had stated that she had no hand in the death of her husband.
The hearing which was earlier slated for October 24 was rescheduled following the absence of the presiding judge, Justice Munta Abimbola who is the Chief Judge of Oyo State.
However, the case has been scheduled for hearing at the High Court 1, High Court of Justice, Ring Road, Ibadan, the state capital.
