Transformation Agenda will be enhanced with Jonathan’s re-election – Gumburawa

The re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 has been identified as holding the key to the success of the on-going transformation agenda of the current administration. This was disclosed by a former member of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Sa’idu Gumburawa.

Gumburawa, who represented Kware/Wammako Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the House of Representatives said: “The endorsement of Jonathan as the sole presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is a welcome development and a good omen for the party, Nigerians and Nigeria.”

Alhaji Sa’idu Gumburawa, a former member of the governing board of News Agency of Nigeria spoke to Journalists on Monday.

Gumburawa, who expressed happiness that the party was waxing stronger at all levels, said he was confident that President Jonathan was capable of surmounting all the current challenges plaguing Nigeria, including security.

“The president inherited the security problem in Nigeria, just like other challenges and he is capable of diligently handling the situation.

“There will be light at the end of the tunnel, although Jonathan needs the support and fervent prayers of all Nigerians,” Cautioning politicians in the country against using religion to heat the polity, he said: “Our religious, ethnic and cultural diversities should become an advantage in favour of the sustainable peace, unity and stability of the nation.”
