Transfer: Zaha ready to snub Arsenal, join Premier League rivals

Arsenal are at risk of missing out on signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, the Evening Standard reports.

The Eagles dismissed the Gunners’ opening bid of £40million earlier this month and are asking for double that price.

With Arsenal struggling to raise the money that would tempt Palace into selling, Everton have now moved to hijack the deal.

Palace are determined not to let the 26-year-old go for less than their £80m valuation and that is partly because of a 20 per cent sell-on clause in his contract installed by Manchester United, when he returned to Selhurst Park in 2015.

United would be due around £15m from Zaha’s sale if Palace were to get their full asking price.

Everton are willing to submit an opening offer of £40m for Zaha, who has indicated he would not be averse to a move to Goodison Park.
