Legendary Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson lost his patience over the club’s pursuit for Leicester City star, Harry Maguire.
According to Manchester Evening News, Ferguson was losing patience over the Red Devils’ pursuit for Maguire because he has long been an admirer of the England international and raved about the defender’s performance against Man United in the FA Cup youth cup in 2011 when the centre-back was with Sheffield United.
The newspaper also reports that Ferguson told a fan that the club “should take Maguire in the boardroom and lock him until he’s signed!”.
DAILY POST had reported that Man United have spent all summer negotiating with Leicester and their opening bid of around £70m for Maguire was turned down by the Foxes.
Maguire is set to undergo a medical at Man United in the next 48 hours and complete an £80million move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side after Leicester City finally agreed to sell on Friday.
The 26-year-old has now become the world’s most expensive defender after Manchester United agreed an £80million deal with Leicester City.
