Real Madrid will not hand Eden Hazard his trademark No.10 shirt when he finally completes his much-anticipated transfer from Chelsea, the UK Sun reports.
This is because the Spanish giants are unwilling to strip current Ballon d’Or holder, Luka Modric of the number.
However, Hazard will have to make do with Cristiano Ronaldo’s old No.7 shirt, when he arrives at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Striker Mariano Diaz, who rejoined the club from Lyon last summer, currently wears the number and has no issues with giving it up following a poor season.
Hazard has worn the No.10 shirt for Chelsea for the majority of his Premier League career, inheriting the jersey from Juan Mata, after the Spaniard was sold to Manchester United in 2014.
