Former Arsenal goalkeeper, Jens Lehmann has said the club would be able to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, if the striker completed a shock move to Manchester United this summer.
Aubameyang has scored 41 goals in 65 appearances for the Gunners since signing from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a summer move, with a number of Chinese clubs said to be interested in a deal.
United has also been raised as a potential destination for Aubameyang as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks to beef up his squad.
Asked about the speculation linking Aubameyang with a move to Old Trafford, Lehmann told DAZN: “If you finish fifth [in the league] you can sell players.
“If he was to go to United, a new player would come in who could do better.
“Arsenal’s goal shouldn’t be to finish fifth or sixth.”
