Thibaut Courtois has told Maurizio Sarri that he wants to leave Chelsea.
The Belgian goalkeeper reportedly met with the Italian, following the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City at Wembley.
ESPN reports that with Sarri open to selling players not committed to the cause and Courtois with a year left on his deal, a transfer is now very likely.
The Blues boss reiterated his desire to hear directly from Courtois if he wanted to push through a move to Real Madrid before the end of the month.
“I am not interested in the agent.
“I want to hear if Courtois will say the same to me. I only want players with a very high level of motivation.
“I talked to them two days ago so I know what they will say to me tomorrow. I’m ready. But I think more good [news] than bad,” Sarri said.
