West Ham demanded that Manchester United include Anthony Martial in a deal for their defender, Issa Diop, SportsMail reports.
United are in the market for a central defender this summer, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his back line.
Solskjaer have targeted Diop, following his impressive debut campaign with the Hammers.
A bid in the region of £40million has been knocked back by West Ham, who are only willing to sell the player if highly-rated winger Martial is involved in the deal.
West Ham are however reluctant to sell the 22-year-old, who they signed from Toulouse in a club-record £22million deal in June 2018.
Diop became the second signing of manager Manuel Pellegrini and penned a five-year contract with the club.
