West Ham United have completed the signing of midfielder Pablo Fornals from Villarreal.
The Hammers confirmed the signing of the Spain international in a statement posted on the club’s official website on Friday.
Fornals joined the Premier League club on a five-year deal.
The 23-year-old will team up with Manuel Pellegrini’s squad at the conclusion of the Under-21 European Championships, which run until 30 June.
The statement read: “West Ham United is delighted to announce the signing of highly sought-after Spain international attacking midfielder Pablo Fornals.
“A creative, technically-gifted playmaker with an eye for goal, Fornals joins the Hammers from Villarreal, for whom he has excelled in both La Liga and the UEFA Europa League.”
Reacting, Fornals told West Ham’s official website: “I feel very good, very happy, and very grateful for the opportunity and to be part of West Ham.”
