Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has declared that he wants Aaron Ramsey to stay at the club, ahead of the 2018/2019 season.
Ramsey travelled to Dublin, but was pulled out of the starting line-up against Chelsea, because of a muscular injury.
The Blues are interested in £30million-rated Ramsey and Emery was asked about the Welshman following Arsenal’s 1-1 draw in Ireland.
Asked if he will sign a new deal, Emery said: “I don’t know. That is one question for the club and for the player. I am very, very concentrated. I am focused.
“This is one question for the club and for the player. My opinion is clear. I want him to be with us.
“But it is one question for continuing speaking the player and the club. My opinion is he’s professional.
“He’s a player I want in this team. The contract is one thing only for the club and the player.
“He has a pain in his muscle and we decided not to start him playing the match because it is maybe a bigger risk for him. I think not a big problem.”
