Gianluigi Buffon turned down both Manchester United and Manchester City, before making an emotional return to Juventus this summer, the DailyMail reports.
The 41-year-old goalkeeper was available for a move, after spending a year at Paris Saint-Germain.
It initially seemed as though Buffon would retire from playing and move into a coaching role.
However, the Italian World Cup winner opted to return to Juventus, hoping to win an elusive Champions League winners medal.
Buffon will be second choice behind Wojciech Szczesny during his second spell with the Italian outfit.
