Chelsea have confirmed departure of two goalkeepers from the club.
While Nathan Baxter has joined Scottish Premiership side Ross County on loan for the duration of the 2019/20 season, Bradley Collins has completed a permanent transfer to newly promoted Championship club, Barnsley.
Baxter was loaned out to Yeovil Town for the entirety of last season where he won all five of the club’s Player of the Season awards.
He has enjoyed loan spells at Metropolitan Police, Solihull Moors and Woking.
The highly-rated goalkeeper was a non-playing substitute as Chelsea won the UEFA Youth League in April 2016.
On the other hand, 22-year-old Collins, who was named in the starting line-up against PSG in the UEFA Youth League showpiece three years ago, has signed a four-year contract with the Reds, with a further option in the club’s favour.
On Baxter’s move, Chelsea wrote on its official website, “The goalkeeper, 20, spent the previous campaign with Yeovil Town in League Two, claiming all five of the club’s Player of the Season awards.
“He registered a club-record six successive clean sheets despite Yeovil eventually being relegated at the end of the season.
“Baxter has previously helped Chelsea lift both the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League, and has been praised for his impressive footwork and agility.
“He will spend the next campaign north of the border at Ross County, who were promoted to Scottish football’s top flight in May as champions of the First Division.”
