Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Agu, has joined Portuguese club, Vitoria Setubal, on loan from FC Porto for the rest of the season.
It is the second time the 25-year-old will be spending time on loan with Vitoria Setubal, following a stint with the club in the 2016/2017 season.
“I had other options in Portugal and abroad but when my manager told me about Victoria’s interest I did not think twice. I already know this city and the club well and it was here that Stefano was born, about a year and eight months ago.
“I am happy with my return and I believe that the fans are happy too. The fans know that when I get on the field it’s to give the maximum and I hope to help Vitória to make a great season,” Mikel told the club’s official website.
Mikel joined FC Porto in 2012, but has struggled to break into the first team at the club.
He spent last season on loan at Turkish club, Bursaspor, where he scored three goals in 24 appearances.
