Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has provided reasons forward, Anthony Martial should stay at Old Trafford.
Martial enjoyed an incredible debut season at United under former manager, Louis Van Gaal, three seasons ago.
The France international scored 11 goals and helped the Red Devils win the FA Cup.
The 22-year-old looks set to leave United this summer after his agent publicly declared he wanted to be out of Old Trafford.
Rooney, however, insisted that managers need to figure how to get the best out of Martial, adding that United would be making a huge mistake to let him leave.
The former Everton striker believes Martial is one of the best players in the English Premier League (EPL).
Speaking on why Martial should stay, Rooney told Alan Brazil, “I think Martial, ability-wise, is incredible.
“But I think it’s how do you get the best out of him?
“Knowing Anthony the way I know him I think if you can get the best out of him, he’s up there ability-wise with the best in the league.
“I think sometimes it is difficult to get to know him as a person, as a character because of the way he is. But I think once you do get to know him, you just keep him happy.”
