Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Ajax captain, Matthijs de Ligt, RMC reports.
The Dutch defender has been linked with several high-profile clubs, including Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Real are also interested in signing de Ligt and have requested information regarding his preference for his destination.
Zinedine Zidane has been very busy in the transfer market this summer, securing deals for Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy, as well as the previously announced deals for Eder Militao and Rodrygo.
He already has defensive options like Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Nacho and Jesus Vallejo, as well as Militao.
However, Zidane reportedly still wants to bring De Ligt to The Bernabeu, with the 19-year-old having produced some outstanding performances for Ajax last season.
