France midfielder, Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United and return to Juventus.
Pogba was one of the stars of the just concluded World Cup in Russia, helping France to lift their second trophy in history.
The 25-year-old has, however, struggled to find consistency for United and his displays were criticised by manager, Jose Mourinho.
Tuttosport reports that Pogba is keen to leave Old Trafford and wants a return to his former club, Juventus.
The newspaper also reports that the Serie A champions’ decision to sign Cristiano Ronaldo for €100 million (£88.5m) is one of the driving forces behind the Frenchman’s desire to move back to Italy.
The midfielder was in Turin for four seasons after being allowed to leave Manchester United on a free transfer as a youngster.
The playmaker rose to prominence and helped Juve win four Serie A titles as well as the Coppa Italia on two occasions.
Jose Mourinho re-signed Pogba from Juve for £89m two years ago.
The player has not been consistent at Old Trafford, while earlier reports claimed that the midfielder and Mourinho clashed in the dressing room.
During France’s World Cup celebrations on Sunday, Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi told Pogba, “Remember to come to Juventus,” during a live video on Instagram.
In response, Pogba said, “Ooh, the Old Lady, the Old Lady,” smiling.
