Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Nigerian star, Luke Ayodele Amos, has joined Championship side, Queens Park Rangers, QPR, on a season-long loan for the 2019/20 campaign.

Tottenham disclosed this in a statement posted on the club’s official website on Monday.

The statement reads: “Luke Amos has joined Championship side Queens Park Rangers on loan for the 2019/20 season.

“The 22-year-old midfielder, a product of our Academy, made his Premier League debut for us at the start of last season, featuring as a late substitute in our opening day 2-1 win over Newcastle United.

“Luke went on to make three appearances for our Development Squad in the Premier League 2 but suffered a season-ending injury in a 3-1 win over Blackburn Rovers last September.”

On his part, Amos said: ”It has been a tough nine months but I am really excited now.

”I haven’t wasted a day in that whole time. I feel physically fit and the next step for me is being back in games and that’s something I am looking forward to.

”I feel like I was hungry to succeed before – but now I am absolutely starving! It has been such a tough journey and I want it now more than ever.”
