Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has reacted to speculation linking his star forward, Alexis Sanchez with a transfer to Manchester United before the close of January transfer market.
It has been claimed that the Red Devils have attempted to hijack the 25-year-old proposed move to league leaders, Manchester City by submitting a 25 million pounds bid and offering Henrikh Mkhitaryan as makeweight in the deal.
”Honestly, I can’t tell you much more at the moment about the situation. Nothing is concrete at the moment,” said Wenger at Friday’s press conference.
”It’s not that I don’t want to inform you, I don’t want to give you wrong information. Nothing is concrete.”
Sanchez was on the brink of moving to Manchester City in the hours leading up to the close of the summer transfer window.
The Chilean international deal did not happen because Arsenal couldn’t sign a replacement.
