Transfer news: Pires reveals what Alexis Sanchez wanted from Arsenal

Former Arsenal winger, Robert Pires, has said that forward, Alexis Sanchez would have stayed at the North London club if they had spent more in the transfer window.
Sanchez has undergone his medicals with the Manchester United and is set to become the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
“For me, Alexis wanted to stay at Arsenal,” Pires told Sport Bild.
“I have not talked to him, but what I see, what I smell, is that he was very good in London, very good in Arsenal.
“What Alexis wanted was for Arsenal to spend money on other players,” he said.
