Transfer news: Mourinho open to Pogba-Rakitic swap, Dembele to Arsenal, Umtiti to Man Utd

Manchester United manger, Jose Mourinho is willing to sell midfielder, Paul Pogba to Barcelona, if he gets the services of playmaker, Ivan Rakitic in return.

Pogba has endured a difficult second season at Old Trafford and tension between himself and Mourinho has resulted in the midfielder being dropped from regular first team starter.

Spanish outlet, Don Balon reports that Mourinho has been wanting to get Rakitic on-board for a while now, being an admirer of the Croatian international and his talent for a long time.

According to the Spain newspaper, the Portuguese gaffer relationship with Pogba has become untenable and he want to sell the 25-year-old this summer.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have given a nod to Arsenal’s pursuit of forward, Ousmane Dembele and the French international might be seen moving to the Premier League next season.

Dembele was signed by the LaLiga champions last season as a replacement for Neymar last year, but the 21-year-old had a lackluster season at Camp Nou, failing to establish himself as a first-team player with the Catalan club.

The Spain newspaper claims that Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has identified Dembele as his first signing target this summer and thus, has been handed a major boost by Barcelona in his attempt to get the Gunners back to the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Barcelona defender, Samuel Umtiti, who has attracted interest from Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho this summer, has revealed that he is not anywhere close to signing an extension for Barcelona, Daily Star reports.

Speaking of his contract extension at Barca ahead of next month World Cup in Russia, Umtiti told reporters, “On my contract extension, I have no news. I look at my phone but I have not been called so nothing has happened.

“It will not affect me (at the World Cup) because the situation started months ago.

“I think it’s important to settle these cases before the start of the competition and for my part, it will be done”.
