Liverpool are interested in signing Nigerian and Gent winger, Moses Simon this summer, The Liverpool Echo reports.

According to the British newspaper, the 22-year-old is on the radar of Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp as he is looking to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.

Simon only has one year left on his deal at Gent, which, therefore, means the Reds could sign him for as little as £10million.

He is capable of playing anywhere across the front-line, which is an area the Reds lack depth.

Simon, however, was officially ruled out of the 2018 World Cup in Russia on Friday after the forward underwent a scan in the UK, which indicated he will be out for two more weeks.

”I will like to thank all my fans for the love, support and prayers during this trying time, you all are amazing people it’s just a pity that I couldn’t make it to #Russia but man proposes but God disposes,” Simon posted on Instagram.

”I will definitely be back soon stronger and better. To #supereagles. I wish u all d best of luck in Russia go and make us proud.”
