Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud, looks set to remain at the club beyond this month, with a proposed departure to Borussia Dortmund off.
Dortmund wanted Giroud to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who seems close to moving to the Emirates. But the Bundesliga have been left unimpressed with the offers from the Gunners and are now assessing other alternatives.
Arsenal have increased their initial offer, but it is still short of Dortmund’s desired price for Aubameyang.
The major advantage for the Gunners, is that Aubameyang wants the move.
However, as it stands, Dortmund will only accept a bid £56million.
The German club will then try to land Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea
