Borussia Dortmund manager, Peter Stoger has spoken concerning Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s transfer move to Arsenal.
The Gabonese international completed a £56million move to the Emirates on deadline day after the 28-year-old agreed to a long-term contract with the Gunners.
It’s understood Aubameyang forced a transfer out of Dortmund and was earlier suspended for disciplinary reasons before leaving the club in January.
However, Stoger has defended the striker’s attitude and insisted the forward only missed one team meeting before his high-profile move to north London.
He told Bild, “It’s good that it’s over because that issue occupied so much space in public.
“Now there’s not that issue anymore behind which you can hide. In my time here he [Aubameyang] never came too late.
“Only one single time he skipped our team meeting and only one single time he practiced badly because he wanted to put a sign [out], apparently.
“But apart from that he behaved reasonably.”
