Transfer news: Conte reveals Batshuayi could leave Chelsea before month end

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has said that striker, Michy Batshuayi could leave the club on loan this month.

Conte admitted that he would be happy to keep the Belgian international, but insisted that the 24-year-old may push for a move.

Conte told Goal: “For me, Michy is a Chelsea player and in my mind there is the will to continue to work with him and to try to improve.

“Then I don’t know if the player decides to take other solution or if he wants to play with regularity. You don’t know, it can happen,” he added.

Batshuayi has been unable to hold down a regular place in Conte’s plans this season but impressed against Brighton in his first Premier League start of the season.

The striker played a key role in Chelsea’s 4-0 win despite not getting on the score sheet.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for a striker this month and it is believed the club will continue with their ‘one in, one out’ policy.

Moves for Edin Dzeko, Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch and even Ashley Barnes have been discussed.

Conte is known to be in the market for a target man to provide greater competition for Alvaro Morata.

Meanwhile, Speaking on Sunday evening, Roma’s sporting director, Monchi admitted that Dzeko could leave this month.

Also, The SUN UK quoted a source at the Stamford Bridge outfit as saying that the Blues have agreed a basic fee of £28 million with Roma to sign the 31-year-old.
