Chelsea have told Real Madrid, that they won’t be bullied into selling Eden Hazard, according to the UK Mirror.
The European champions are believed to be planning a massive £170million ($223m) offer, to take Hazard away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Hazard has two years left on his deal and despite the player hinting that it might be time to move on, the club is adamant that it will not be forced into letting him leave.
Madrid are so confident of landing him, and that they have reserved a squad number for him.
According to Spanish outlet, Don Balon, Hazard will inherit Cristiano Ronaldo’s no. 7 shirt at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He wears No.10 for Chelsea, but the number is currently occupied by Croatian midfielder, Luka Modric.
Hazard has emerged as the LaLiga side’s top target to replace Ronaldo, with both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe set to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
