Transfer news: Chelsea, Manchester United in battle for £31m-Bayern Munich midfielder

Premier League clubs, Chelsea and Manchester United, will reportedly go head-to-head for the signature of Bayern Munich star, Arturo Vidal.
According to Bild, both the Blues and United want to sign the 31-year-old, who could be available for £31million, this summer.
The report also claimed that Bayern are prepared to sell the midfielder ahead of the 2018-19 campaign as part of a summer clear-out because Vidal’s current deal at Allianz Arena will expires at the end of next season.
Vidal, who recently had surgery on his knee, scored six times and registered two assists in 35 appearances in all competitions during the 2017-18 season for Bayern.
The Chilean international joined Bayern from Juventus in 2015, and has helped the club win three straight Bundesliga titles during his time at the club.
