Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich are keen to sign Liverpool target, Leon Goretzka from Schalke.
Bayern chief, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has confirmed the club were keen to bring in the German international.
“You only have an agreement when the contract is signed and the player passed the medical tests. We are not that far yet,” Rummenigge told German reporters.
“Now the player has to decide, I heard the decision will be made within the next days so before the end of January.”
“And of course it would be very nice, if he decides to join Bayern Munich.”
Goretzka was linked to a move to Anfield but Liverpool’s efforts to bring the midfielder to the Merseyside failed after the 22-year-old through his agent told the Reds that the player was not ready to leave Germany.
The player is expected to confirm his destination in the coming days.
