Transfer news: Barcelona hijack Roma’s move for Malcom

Barcelona are attempting to hijack AS Roma’s deal for Bordeaux’s Malcom.

The Brazilian winger was scheduled to be in Rome on Monday night for medical tests, but his arrival has been postponed.

Both clubs had agreed a €36m fee and the Serie A club had a provisional deal with the player worth €2.5m/year for a five-year contract.

However, Sky Italia are now reporting that Barca have thrown themselves into the ring.

The LaLiga champions’ bid for Malcom is reportedly more than €41m and they are keen on the player, as they have given up on signing Willian.
