Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale, has snubbed a potential move to Bayern Munich this month as he is holding out for a return to the Premier League in the summer, Spanish Diario Gol reports.
Bayern, after bringing in James Rodriguez from Real Madrid in the summer, are ready to complete another swoop on the Champions League holders after they accepted a £86m bid for the Wales international.
Bayern have been considering their options in attack this season given the advancing ages of both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery but the Bundesliga giants have seemingly missed out on their top target.
Bale is widely expected to leave the LaLiga champion in the summer with the Los Blancos growing increasingly frustrated with the winger’s injury problems but the former Tottenham talisman is still coveted in the Premier League.
According to the report, the 28-year-old’s preference is understood to be a return to Tottenham, five years after completing a £90m move from Spurs to Real Madrid, with manager, Mauricio Pochettino keen on bringing him back to the North London club.
While both Manchester United and Chelsea want to sign Bale as they look to bolster their attacks in a bid to close the gap on Manchester City ahead of next season.
