Borussia Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has hit back at a German journalist over claims about his move to Arsenal.
Aubameyang is believed to be close to securing a switch to the Emirates with talks over a deal ongoing.
The Gabon international was pictured enjoying a kick-about with friends on Friday night, while Dortmund were drawing with Hertha Berlin.
The manner in which the 28-year-old is leaving the Bundesliga club has clearly upset some fans, including Bild journalist, Michael Makus.
Makus tweeted a suggestion that instead of allowing him leave, Dortmund should force Aubameyang to train with their reserves until his contract expires.
But the striker hit back, joking that next people would suggest throwing him in jail.
“You forgot to wear your Arsenal jersey tonight,” Makus responded.
Aubameyang laughed off the suggestion of wearing the Arsenal kit and threw a jibe about Makus’ Twitter verification.
While the journalist’s original tweet was in German, it is interesting that Aubameyang chose to respond in English.
