Atletico Madrid have confirmed the signing of Monaco star, Thomas Lemar.
The Los Rojiblancos announced Lemar’s signing on their official website on Monday.
“The contracts were signed in the training camp of the France national team following the guidelines of the people in charge of the French Football Association and the France coach, Didier Deschamps,” the statement read.
The deal for the France international is worth more than $81.34 million, making him the most expensive player in Atletico’s history.
Lemar is currently with the French national team in Russia for this summer’s 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid ace, Antoine Griezmann extended his contract with the club till 2023.
Griemann’s new deal ends speculation of reports that he could be joining Barcelona next season.
The France international was on target for his country in their 2-1 win against Australia at the 2018 World Cup.
