AS Roma have rejected an approach from Chelsea to sign striker, Michy Batshuayi, on loan in the deal taking Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri to Stamford Bridge.
Sky Sports Italia reports that the Italian outfit are not interested in signing the Belgium international especially as he’s ineligible to play for the club in the Champions League and are considering over a move for Liverpool forward, Daniel Sturridge, who is also attracting big interest from Inter Milan.
Recall that Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has said that striker, Michy Batshuayi could leave the club on loan this month.
Batshuayi would be allowed to depart the Blues as soon as Dzeko and Emerson are signed, with Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund among the clubs mentioned as his possible destination.
Dzeko and Emerson are expected to complete their transfers to Chelsea in the coming days for a total sum of around 60 million euros.
This season, Batshuayi, 24, has recorded 10 goals and 2 assists in 24 matches across all competitions for the Blues.
