Transfer news: Ahmed Musa set to leave Leicester City for CSKA Moscow – Rohr

Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, has revealed that Leicester City striker, Ahmed Musa is set to return to Russia Premier League side, CSKA Moscow before the end of the winter transfer m

arket.

Rohr disclosed this to reporters in Lagos on Wednesday after he put pen to paper on a 2-year-contract extension.

”Ahmed Musa is going back to CSKA in Russia, that is good news, because they like him there very much and he will get to play more,” Rohr was quoted as saying by the local press.

Musa joined The Foxes on a four-year deal in the summer of 2016 but needs to depart the club temporary as he is seeking game time ahead of the 2018 World Cup, where he’s expected to play a key role for the three times African champions.

The 25-year-old netted a goal in his only game for Leicester City’s first-team in a 4-1 win over Sheffield United in the League Cup.

Musa was on the score sheet for the reserve team of the Foxes in their 4-2 defeat at Oldham Athletic in the Checkatrade Trophy on Wednesday.
