Transfer: Mourinho backed to sign Ousmane Dembele before deadline

Football finance expert, Kieran Maguire has backed Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United to sign Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.

Dembele, who impressed for France at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia this summer, has been linked with a move to the English Premier League.

The 21 year old struggled with injuries at the Camp Nou during last campaign.

Maguire, however, wants United to sign Dembele this summer to please the fans of Mourinho and the Red Devils.

”The two Manchester clubs will be interested in Dembele too,” Maguire told Daily Star

“Mourinho is very unhappy in terms of United’s recruitment so far.

“I think most United fans saw the signing of Fred as solid, but very much treading water.

“If they want something to wet the appetite, then someone like Dembele could do that – and they can certainly afford him.”
