Liverpool are targeting the signing of Nigerian international, Moses Simon.

Moses plays for Belgium top division side, Gent, whose other Nigerian striker, Samuel Kalu is also reportedly wanted by German side, Bayer Leverkussen.

Simon, who missed out of Nigeria’s World Cup squad due to injury, is widely expected to conclude a move away from the club before the end of this week, according to OwnGoal.

He would be heading for Liverpool, according to the report.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for the 23-year-old.

Other clubs said to be interested in the player are German Bundesliga sides Mainz 05 and Wolfsburg.

Kalu, on his part, is said to be waiting on an offer from Bayern Leverkusen after Monaco ended their interest in him due to the transfer fee in excess of €10m demanded by his club’s board.

Bayern Leverkusen are yet to firm up their interest for the wing forward.
