Transfer: Midfielder agrees five-year deal with Chelsea

Chelsea have agreed a new five-year contract with Midfielder Mason Mount, the UK Telegraph reports.

Having already tied Ruben Loftus-Cheek to a five-year deal, the Blues have now made sure Mount is committed to the club until at least 2024.

The contract is a reward for Mount’s superb season on loan at Derby County under Frank Lampard last season, during which he also won an England call-up.

The midfielder scored in their pre-season friendly victory over St Patrick’s at the weekend and has flown out with Lampard’s first-team squad to Japan today.

Chelsea will now focus their attention on trying to secure Bayern Munich target, Callum Hudson-Odoi, to a new deal.
