Barcelona’s desire to bring Neymar back is now the reason for growing problems at the club, Marca reports.
Vice President, Jordi Mestre has resigned this week, with general Manager, Pep Segura, set to follow.
Neymar left the club in 2017 to join Paris Saint-Germain, in a move which angered the Spanish champions.
PSG paid his £200million release clause and the Brazilian forward departed in controversial circumstances, leading to legal action over the payment of a bonus.
Now he wants to return, having grown frustrated with life in Paris.
Barcelona Vice President, Jordi Cardoner, recently confirmed that the 27-year-old desires a return, but insisted old wounds haven’t fully healed.
However, a move to bring back Neymar has been endorsed by Lionel Messi and president Josep Bartomeu, but is splitting club chiefs.
Some want Neymar, while others feel it is better to pay Antoine Griezmann’s release clause, with the Frenchman set to leave Atletico Madrid.
Griezmann also annoyed the Catalans with his ‘Decision’ video last summer, which saw him turn down the Camp Nou to remain at Atletico.
This year, the 28-year-old, has already announced he’s moving and has been expected to join Barca for £105million.
But a deal remains in limbo after Neymar became available.
