Manchester City are reportedly now ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus.

The midfielder is also on the radar of La Liga giants, Barcelona.

According to the newspaper, City boss, Pep Guardiola has had telephone conversations with the player as regards potential switch over to the Etihad.

The 28-year-old has played two full seasons at Juventus following his switch from Roma and has won the Serie A title twice.

Having spent the last seven seasons in Italy, Pjanic could move to England.

Other Juventus players: Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuaín, are also being linked with departures.
