Manchester United have confirmed that defender, George Tanner, has left the club on Monday to join Morecambe on a season-long loan.
The Red Devils disclosed this in a statement on the club’s official website on Monday night.
This is coming after Man United defeated Chelsea 4-0 in the Premier League encounter on Sunday.
The statement read: “We can confirm that Manchester United defender George Tanner will spend the 2019/20 season on loan at Morecambe.
“The 19-year-old has made the temporary move to the League Two club to gain invaluable experience of first-team football.
“The full-back broke into the Under-18 team, making 27 appearances in 2016/17 and a further 20 in all competitions in 2017/18.
“He made more progress last season as he racked up 20 outings in all for the Under-23s.”
