Transfer: Man United’s decision on Martial’s exit revealed

Manchester United forward, Anthony Martial, will remain at the club after a disagreement between Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær and the club’s co-Chairman, Joel Glazer.

The Frenchman’s future is secured at the club – because he is viewed as the club’s “Pele” by Glazer.

The player’s commitment has been questioned by current United boss Solskjaer and his predecessor, Jose Mourinho.

Both expressed concerns about the France striker’s attitude in training and matches, which led to suggestions the 23-year-old could be sold.

But Martial’s position is said to be safe, because executive co-chairman, Glazer is such a fan and regards him as his favourite player at the club, according to Mirror.

The former Monaco star, signed a new contract until 2023 in January, worth £200,000-a-week, although has since scored just twice in 13 appearances for United.

He faced an uncertain future last summer, with Mourinho keen to offload him after losing faith.

But Mourinho’s desire to jettison Martial was thwarted by Joel Glazer and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
