Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has told the club not to sell defender, Victor Lindelof this summer.

This is as Lyon are keen on signing the Sweden international.

Lindelof was signed from Benfica for £31 million last summer but struggled to secure a regular role during his first season at the club.

The 24-year-old started just 13 games in the Premier League last term and was behind Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in Mourinho’s pecking order.

L’Equipe reports that Lyon are interested in signing Lindelof before the summer window closes.

The newspaper claimed that Mourinho was against the idea of allowing the central defender to leave Old Trafford.

Despite his low-key start to his career at United, Lindelof impressed for Sweden at the World Cup this summer.
