Transfer: Leicester City gives latest update on Maguire’s move to Manchester United

Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has said that he is relaxed about reports linking his top defender, Harry Maguire with a move to Manchester United this summer.

DAILY POST had reported that Manchester United are said to be on the verge of completing a stunning €89million deal for Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.

Man United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to add Maguire to his squad as he looks to bolster his defence ahead of next season.

Speaking on the development, Rodgers told BBC Leicester Sport on Thursday: “I’m obviously relaxed with it,” Rodgers told BBC Leicester Sport.

“It is what it is. The player has been first class with his attitude in his training.

“The club hasn’t changed its stance in terms of the valuation for the player.”

Rodgers added: “As of this day, the valuation for Harry hasn’t been met that would trigger any communication with the player and the other club.

“For me, Top, John Rudkin [director of football] and Susan Whelan [chief executive] are doing a great job in relation to that. There’s no change.”
