Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, is reportedly eager to sign one of the two Real Madrid players, Toni Kroos and Raphael Varane in this summer’s transfer window.
Spanish outlet, Don Balon reports that Mourinho is willing to offer forward, Anthony Martial to Madrid to help make Kroos or Varane deal happen.
According to reports, there are two big reasons for Mourinho wanting to sign the German star.
The first is reportedly due to Pogba’s vast drop in form. Secondly, Kroos’ arrival would help shore up the midfield at United, especially with veteran Michael Carrick hanging his boots at the end of the season.
The report also claimed that Real could see Martial as an ideal alternative to Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, considering his performance despite a difficult time under Mourinho.
However, ESPN also claimed that Mourinho would be happy to let Martial go, though he may have to persuade United’s Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward, who is supposedly leaning towards keeping the France international.
The Portuguese gaffer had already warned Martial about leaving Old Trafford this summer.
