Liverpool have confirmed the exit of Danny Ings from the club.
The striker left Ansfield on Monday to join Southampton on a permanent basis.
Liverpool midfielder, James Milner, also sent his best wishes to Ings after it was confirmed.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan with the Saints but has now completed a permanent switch to the south coast to end his five-year association with the Reds.
Confirming the exit, Liverpool tweeted, “Danny Ings has now completed the formalities of his permanent transfer to Southampton.
“Everybody would like to once again thank @IngsDanny for his contribution to the club and wish him the best of luck in his future career.”
In reaction, Milner wrote, “Good luck Ingzy.”
